Ok yes we paid good money to go "cook" cookies with Santa. Hey I love this world we live in. Pay a few dollars and they cook the cookies for you and do the dishes. You get to skip to the fun part. Last Thursday we woke up to everything covered in white. It was beautiful. When I went and woke up Adalyn and had her peek out her window to see the golf course covered in white she asked me if it was Christmas. Santa did not come but we had a fun filled day with neighbors and her buddy Meredith. So much fun. We rode sleds on the golf course hills and even made a big snowman. It was so much fun!!! Although, I couldn't imagine having to dress the kids for this weather everyday. I'll take the south. Today we were on the swing set in 80 degree weather. So beautiful!

Vanished?

No we have not vanished from the earth. And I try to keep in touch with some of yall through facebook. That is much easier then blogging. Sorry. So I could blame the holidays for my lack of activity or the fact that someone in my house has been sick for the last three weeks. But that is not the reason. My sweet, docile little boy has turned into a Tasmanian devil. Still sweet but a T5 tornado. We just thought Adalyn was active. Oh no, Burke is full speed times 1,000. So that is why I can't sit down for two minutes and type about their progress. He has figured out how to unlatch the cabinets, Climb Christmas trees, and get through a baby gate that has four bungee cords holding it. He has a permanent goose egg. I told Jeff I am scared that if we had a third child what it would be like if they keep progressively getting wilder.
I have a friend who blogs about the things her dog eats everyday. Well I am going to submit a pic of the things Burke learns to climb everyday. Don't worry. He is still sweet as every but just a handful.

Mondays!!!

Mondays are insane for us. I don't know why but they are always crazy. Maybe the fact that Daddy is back at work, both kids have school, and Adalyn has ballet at one. That doesn't seem like much but with all the rushing and driving and trying to get places on time, it just always turns out to be crazy.
So yesterday a little after one we pull up to ballet on two wheels. Adalyn jumps in the back to put on her ballet clothes. Of course we can't find the shoes. I am yelling and tossing who knows what all around my car. Finally I spot the shoes. Yea! I throw them on her feet. She starts whining that there is something in her shoe. I respond with get your bottom in class and stop whining. There is no way there is something in your shoe. We'll look when get inside. She limps inside. Well lucky us today the moms get to sit and watch class. This would be great except Burke is exhausted and the last thing he wants to do is sit and observe Adalyn dance for an hour. And of course I have no toys to entertain him. So anyways Adalyn starts dancing with a limp. After a little number they sit down. She proceeds to take off her shoe and tell Miss Laurie there is something in her shoe. Well I hate to admit there is something. No not a piece of dirt. A lid to a water bottle. Yeah who knew a water bottle lid would fit in a tiny ballet shoe. Sorry kid. Next time I will try to listen when you say there is something in your shoe.
But on another note to make myself feel a little better one of the dancers little sisters got her head stuck behind the bars. We had to act fast and squeeze her head out. Fun times at our ballet class. I am sure it will be Burke next year with his head stuck. Anyways who wants to just sit there calmly and enjoy your child dance like a ballerina. What kind of fun would that be?

Fall Festival

Adalyn's school had a Fall Festival. I am not talking the dunking apples fall festival. This was a Fall Festival like no other. It was insane. Had tons of jumpy things, horses, 4 elephants, and a petting zoo. Where was this festival when I was growing up? We went had tons of fun ridding the elephant and horses. Adalyn event went down this huge jumpy slide. The line was long and I didn't really believe she would go up all by herself. It was like three stories. I would have been a little scared myself. She did it without any hesitation. I was so proud. I love that she has my adventurous side. Life can be so fun when you don't worry about consequences and jump in and go for it. I am so proud of you adalyn. With that statement I know I have to teach her about consequences but it fit for this occasion. She had so much fun!!!

We headed out to the Audubon Zoo a couple weekends. So much fun! The kids had a great time. Burke's, godfather, Scott met up with us. Adalyn had so much fun with him. Jeff and I loved it because he entertained her for a couple hours. What a great sport! Adalyn loves her some Scott. Despite the hours we spent walking around I would definitely have to say that the Carousel was her favorite. She drove us insane asking about it during the whole visit. Next time we do it first so we don't have to hear about it. So much fun!

Sunday Morning Tradition

We accidently started a Sunday morning tradition. It involves Jeff and the kids making pancakes. I LOVE this event. And no not because I am lazy and love my husband cooking for me. I love it because it is something that my husband and children love to do together. My daughter wakes up with a huge smile excited about cooking with her daddy. The pancakes are just a perk.

Every Wednesday my wonderful husband, Ima, has some mail bonding with our son so that I can go to an exercise class with some friends while Adalyn is in gymnastics. Well tonight I had a free pass to a consignment sale so I called to ask if Jeff minded watching the kids while I ran really quick to check out the goods. He was stressed because Burke was upset and fussy the whole time we were gone. So Adalyn and I prance in the house expecting meltdowns. Adalyn starts running around and Burke was laughing so hard I had to record it. She ALWAYS makes him laugh this hard. It is so funny. They love each other so much, well at least most of the time. Well some of the time. As long as she isn't trying to hold him down, throw lamps at him, or smother him. Anyways my point is does he seem super fussy? No I am kidding he is out of sorts but with this response at first I was like what? fussy? Now karma will come my way and I will be up all night with Burke. I get it. But you gotta admit his laugh is fabulous.

What little girl wouldn't be proud of her mom being a beauty pageant Wait a minute it wasn't her mom, it was her dad dressed in drag. Adalyn was still super proud of her daddy getting all dressed up. She thought it was so funny. He even put on fake eyelashes. The girls at work were nice enough to help with all the make-up preparations since Ms. Mandi and I aren't real good with the blue eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner. At the end of the night we decided he was a very bad impression of Ariel. I have never laughed so hard at these guys. Too bad Jeff makes such an ugly woman. I guess I like him better as a man anyways. I guess he can't quit his day job. I'm trying to talk him into going to decadence fest. We'll see.

When Burke was accepted into Mother's Day Out two days a week I contemplated him going both days but then decided that on Thursdays when Adalyn is home we could have some special time together. So Date Day for us was born. So on Thursdays everything is pushed to the side for us to do something special. The first day we went to get doughnuts and ate on the bar. Something she loves to do.
So last Wednesday when I asked her what she wanted to do for date day she said fishing. Like we fish all the time. We hadn't been in a while and I can promise you I never have taken her alone. I don't unhook fish, at least I try not to do it by myself. So luckily reinforcements were available and ready to get crickets, put hooks on the pole, and do all the things associated with fishing that I really didn't want to do. Thanks PePaw. Well Adalyn caught three fish. Yes three and she independently caught one completely by herself. Hooked and reeled it in. All with a pretty pink fishing pole. Go girl!

Top Gun

OK so we are back in a top gun phase, only this time she watches the whole movie. Jeff and I have had several discussions on whether or not if it is an appropriate movie for a three year. Surely she doesn't get it, right? At this very moment she is in my bed cracking up while Tom is singing you lost that loving feeling. Seriously she thinks it is hysterical.
The other day we lost the movie and she had been obsessing for days where she put it. I happened to find it. She took off in a full speed to go show her daddy. She ran and gave him a huge hug for about five minutes. You would have thought she was just given a pony. She wouldn't have been any more excited. The girl is obsessed.

Training for Mt. Everest

Saturday night we put Burke in his bed as usual or so we thought. Both the kids were exhausted because we had been to the Jackson Zoo and Build A Bear with no naps. So exhausted kids don't seem to go straight to sleep. So anyways I left Burke restless in his bed thinking he would settle down and go to sleep. Right? Well of course not. Luckily I clicked on the monitor to see him on top of this bird noise machine trying to climb out of his crib. He isn't even officially eight months old. Come on give me one child that is not into everything, please!!! He is really on the move. Jeff took off upstairs to remove the birds so he hopefully will be delayed on an escape.
I must baby proof this house. He is also trying to climb up the stairs. It will be a miracle if we make it to a year without a major accident.

Eating Glass

Before you all start to gasp and think oh no what child ate glass you can breathe. Well a little easier anyways. Harvey decided that he would eat a glass jar of baby food. Jeff insists that he is ok and Harvey only crashed it on the floor to carefully lick the contents out, which was spaghetti, in case you are wondering. So after putting the kids to bed I walked downstairs to find this mess. If the glass doesn't kill him tonight he will definitely be put in timeout! Damn Dog! The jar was spotless.

On the Move

Burke is officially on the move. I have been in denial but he is out of control. Adalyn has had multiple lectures about leaving small parts on the floor. He really wants to walk and believes he can without assistance. I keep trying to take pics of him letting go of furniture and tumbling to the ground. He gets so angry that he can't walk on his own. It is quite a sight. Can't he just stay my baby.

Adalyn was given an art easel for her birthday along with a huge pack of finger paint. One might who is the culprit that gave my child this present but I can only blame myself. I figure life is too short to worry about messes. Well I think that a little bit. Who else would let their child finger paint in the den next to an oriental rug. Maybe a stupid mom. Anyways she had a blast finger painting (until she dropped paint on the rug..whole other story). She is very serious about her artwork. She refuses to color in the lines because that's boring. This is a picture of a boat with a sail that went way in the air. She said it was very scary. As of now she is a budding abstract artist.

Adalyn is officially three. She had a small gathering at Chucky Cheese this year. I just didn't have it in me this year to have a big party. No excuses, just wasn't up to it. I've been sick so it was a good thing. She had a few of her closest friends over for pizza and games. She had a blast. At the end of the evening she ended up on stage dancing with Chucky. I guess it is in her genes. She even pulled up a friend to shake it on stage with her. Pictures will follow. Overall it was a success and I don't think she noticed that it wasn't a huge production put on by Mommy. But I did tell her we will do something big next year.

It was a success! No tears or drama. She loves her teacher and is learning how to write her name. Well kinda. We've had the spelling down for awhile but fine motor skills still need work. Way to go Adalyn. I am so glad you love school. Burke and I miss you tons, though.

Just when I thought I knew my daughter she went and did something so out of character I did not know how to react. So we went to her "new" preschool on Friday to meet her new teacher. She has always been excited about school and loves it, or so I thought. Friday did not go well. The whole time she was in my lap with her head buried into my shoulder. We all know this is not Adalyn. She is usually outgoing and loves kids her age. I am going to assume it was because it was so overwhelming with so many people. Or maybe because one of her best friends was not in her class. We were told he would be. Who knows but she almost had me in tears because her anxiety.
So Monday I will put on my happy face and drop her off in carpool line. Why not go in and drag this out? Because that would just be to calm my fears and make me feel better. We all know it is better to keep the goodbye short and with as little anxiety as possible. Would I love to keep her home with me? Sure. She could continue to entertain Burke and I for hours. However, that is not what is best for her. It is my job to give her the confidence that she CAN go somewhere without me and feel confident. What better gift could I give her. Self-esteem.
So Adalyn you will go to school on Monday and I know you will love it. It may just take some time to get used to the new surroundings. I know they will all love you.

On a more humourous note. This was overhead when Adalyn ran into her little friend.

These kids will be married if I have anything to do with it. Forget love. Think about great inlaws.

Please read the ingredients in your saline nose drops. Yeah, the reason Burke wasn't sleeping too well was because the saline drops I gave my husband to pour in his nose had the small ingredient phenylephrine. We are lucky he didn't have a heart attack or whatever that drug causes that you aren't suppose to give to children under the age of six. Oops. Luckily we can gasp and now understand why his arms where hitting Jeff all night like a deranged boxer. Probably due to nose drops. So sorry Burke. If you have some bodily damage when you are older you can add it to the long list I am sure you already are making of all the things I have done to mess up your life!

Summer is Almost Over

Adalyn's teacher called me on Saturday to inform me of open house on Friday. I actually got sad that summer is over. It has flown by. We have had so much fun bonding as a family with our new addition. I don't know what Burke is going to do without Adalyn to entertain him. I don't know what I am going to do without Adalyn to entertain me. I am sure Burke and I will be bored stiff and walk around aimlessly without Adalyn directing our days.
Adalyn is excited beyond belief and so ready to go back to school. Even though I have kept her extremely busy this summer she is ready to see her friends. Hopefully she will make some great friends at her new school.

Poor baby Burke has been sick the last three days. He has been in and out of our bed. Sleeping and not sleeping. Still smiling and no change in disposition. This boy never gets grouchy or complains. Not a typical man. Adalyn on the other hand has been walking around saying she is sick and we have put a band aid on every visible scratch. So please send us your karma for him getting well. I need sleep. Jeff needs sleep. We would be better parents if we could have a full night without him snuggling under us in the bed. Don't get me wrong, I love snuggling but I don't sleep well worrying that Jeff is going to smash my baby.

Vegetable Shot

Adalyn and Jeff have been having enormous power struggles at the dinner table. He wants her eating her veggies and she has decided that she will not. And as all of yall know when Adalyn takes on a cause there is no changing her mind. The other night I had enough of hearing them arguing with each other over eating the veggies. She likes them but refuses to eat them just to prove her point. She is so stubborn, she will go to bed hungry just to prove she has some control.
Not thinking, I blurted out, "Adalyn if you don't eat your veggies Dr. Burks will have to give you a veggie shot." She stopped screaming and started eating. Oops. Didn't mean to lie. So Jeff wanted to know what am I going to do if she ends having to get a shot at her check-up. That's easy...she didn't eat enough veggies. I know..terrible for lying but sometimes a little bit of manipulation is ok, right? Especially to preserve the peace. Sorry baby.

Happy Late 1/2 Birthday

Adalyn and I decided to throw Burke a half birthday party. We even thought we would make him half of cake. As it turned out, with my cooking it was a half cake with no effort. I had the bright idea that I could bake the cake in the toaster oven so we didn't have to wait for the big oven to preheat. Brilliant I know. Learn from me, not a good idea. Jeff had to cut the top half off because the middle wouldn't cook. So after the top half was cut off, we had the bottom half cooked, well not to perfection. But the plan was to celebrate the 1/2 birthday. It was then covered in white icing despite his sisters pleas to have pink. Happy Birthday Burke. We are so happy you are here.

It is hard to believe my little man is half a year old. He is learning new things everyday.

Some things he is doing:

His whole body lights up when I walk in the room.

He still smiles with his whole body.

He now talks all day long. Not sure what he is talking about but he is talking ALL day long.

Reaches out for you to pick him up.

Constantly moving, wants to type on computer and loves remotes.

Scoots all over the floor. He even got on all fours, which was a first.

He loves to be hummed to before bedtime.

Loves books anytime of day.

Still adores his sister like no one else.

When I pick him up he immediately snuggles his head into the crook of my neck.

Belly laughs when I try to rock him to sleep. This always works. His is learning from the master manipulator.

But I Want to Drive

Yesterday was a super busy day for us. Our last stop was the pool. I probably stayed a little longer than I should have because I had to literally drag Adalyn to the car screaming while I was pushing Burke, carrying all our pool gear, and his float. I am sure it was quite a sight. I put both of them in the car so I could load all the gear without worrying they might get run over. Adalyn begins crying hysterically. Thinking she was just tired I finished the chore of loading all our junk. It is amazing what one has to bring to the pool for your children to swim. Anyways when I get in the car Adalyn is crying because I won't let her drive. She is truly broken hearted, snot pouring out her nose, because she feels that she should drive. She even went as far to tell me she didn't need a license. After explaining all the reasons why, I finally came to my senses and realized I was arguing with a two year old why she couldn't drive.

The Little Things in Life

There are a million reasons why I love my husband but there is one tha makes me super happy every morning. He always put a coke in the fridge for me when I wake up. No matter how many hours he worked the day before, it is always there waiting for me to start my day. This is a neccestity and for some reason I can never remember to do it. I never ask, but it is there every morning. Thank you Jeff. You are the best!!!!

The Big Easy

So Friday around four Jeff and I decide to head to New Orleans with the kids. They don't call us crazy for nothing! I had bags packed, car loaded, and a quick shower within 45 minutes. I expect an award just for that any minute! Not to mention reserving a hotel in the quarter in that time, too. I am good! (maybe a little self motivation was behind that)
We arrived that evening to check in and in search of food. Well, after roaming around and unable to agree on taking the kids in a fine establishment we stopped off in a sandwich shop. No complaints. The children were angels despite the fact that it was eight thirty at night and way after bedtime not to mention dinner. Life is good.
The next day we woke up to eat some delicious beignets. One of the highlights for Adalyn. She was so excited about eating "french doughnuts" So Fancy. We could have spent the whole weekend eating doughnuts. No thanks.
Next we headed to a fun filled afternoon at the children's museum and looking at all the art galleries. Every time we walked in one, Adalyn had the same response. "Wow".
Sunday we took the kids to Arnuad's. When we first walked in Jeff and I were both a little stressed about how they would behave. Perfect is all I have to say. Adalyn had a delicious waffle made especially for her that was to die for. I had a four course brunch that would make you all weep. Burke had prunes. Sorry Baby. We'll take you when you get older. Fun family weekend with only one mishap. We will definitely do again soon.

Like mother like daughter. These are Adalyn's new fashion accessory. She loves to wear them with anything like stained old T-shirts, worn out jeans, and nightgowns. The problem is that they are about two sizes too small. That does not seem to matter. Blood blisters and all she wears them as often as possible. I would buy her a new pair but there is no Disney store in Hattiesburg. So she is now actively awaiting her Jasmine outfit from Aunt Paige. She talks about it everyday.

Cell Phones

There are some clear signs that a mother spends to much time on a cell phone. The first one could be when your 4 month old child already knows how to model talking on a play cell phone. I am not making this up. The other night Burke was sitting in his plaything and it has a cell phone on it. Jeff noticed that he was reaching for the phone saying Hello, hello, hello. So maybe it wasn't the clearest hello ever but I swear the child was saying hello on the phone. Genius child or a sign that we all have already concluded, he really likes to talk.

Crying it Out

Monday I decided was the perfect day to get Burke on a schedule. Yeah, great idea with Mommy and Me, Ballet Camp, and Swim Lessons. So where does the schedule fit into this craziness? Me and my great ideas.
So for his afternoon nap I decided that he will be placed in his bed and go to sleep. He's only suppose to cry a little while, right. I really needed the peace. The books say they will give in and sleep. If nothing else from exhaustion. Well for some reason my little happy baby that never cries, cried. Not the whimper, I'm sad crying. But the BITCH GET ME OUT OF THIS BED OR I'M GOING TO CUT YOUR HEAD OFF SCREAMING. Surely with this much ferocity he can last that long. Wrong. It went on for over a hour. I caved. I couldn't stand the emotional damage I was causing on his little developing brain.
Tuesday...Geared myself up again. One hour and 43 minutes later I caved.
Most of the time, Burke is the sweetest baby in the world. He hardly ever complains.
But he can be one strong willed person. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Wish us luck. Who will win? Bets are on.

Crazy Summer

So I thought by not hiring a sitter and not putting my kids in mothers day out, we would have a calm, relaxing summer at home. So far we have been on two vacations and barely have time to breathe. Adalyn's been taking swimming lessons and ballet camp this week. Why they are the same week, who knows? I feel like things are crazier than ever.
Next week I have a doc appt, Ja commitment, and my dad is having his eyes done. Will it ever slow down so we can linger in our PJs all day? That is my wish for today.

My Best Friend

Where did we fly? Cincinnati to see my best friend in the whole wide world. I am so lucky to have had the same best friend my whole life. There is nothing like being around someone who knows you probably better than you know yourself. We did some reminiscing of the crazy things we did in college. Things that will not be shared on my children's blog. Don't want to give them any ideas. Although, I am sure they will have plenty ideas of their own that I don't want to know about.
We have decided to force a friendship between our children. I think it will be more forced for her older daughter. Adalyn fell in love with her. She practically stalked her the whole time we were visiting. She was very patient with Adalyn and shared her toys.
It was such a great visit. I wish they didn't live so far away and we could do it more often. I vote for somewhere tropcial next year.

Planes

Adalyn and Burke had their first plane ride last weekend. It went fabulous. I couldn't have asked them to do any better. At one time the plane tilted it wings and Adalyn's eyes almost popped out of her head. She said she didn't want to do a flip. I told her it would be fun. She said ok, but just one flip. Too bad the plane never did flip. Burke slept for most of the flight with little complaint. I have now decided this is the way to travel with my children. Too bad airline tickets just went up so much.

A: I have got to get a haircut.
M: No, You just got a haircut. You don't need another one.
A: Yes, I NEED to get my bangs trimmed. They are getting in the way.

What? My daughter doesn't even have bangs to get in the way. I'll give it to her for trying to come with me tonight. Good thinking but didn't work! But I am now a blonde. Not sure if I'll be one tomorrow but who knows if I'll have time to get it fixed before my trip.

My little man is getting so big and it's hard to believe he is already 4 months old. He has his own little personality and is so fun to be around. He loves to watch TV. I am going to have to limit his TV time. Tonight we were watching the news and he would cry every time Jeff would move him where he couldn't see. He loves his toys and will play and talk to them. I love how he smiles with his whole body. He can't just smirk, when he smiles his whole body moves around. It is the cutest thing ever.

Tonight when we were doing the dinner dishes I innocently asked Adalyn what she wanted to be when she grows. This is something I do often. She usually has a cute answer like Cinderella. Well tonight she melted my heart. She stopped what she was doing and gave me a huge smile and said "I want to be like Mommy when I grow up".
Jeff and I both froze. She can be the sweetest thing in the world. Jeff said how can you get mad at her! Don't worry I am sure her head will be spinning soon but I am enjoying the sweet phase.

Last night as I was getting out of the shower to see Jeff tucking Adalyn in our bed. My first thought was now I don't get to veg out and watch the end of the bachelor. Terrible I know. The weather was terrible so I didn't complain. After getting dressed I jumped into bed with her. She sweetly asked me to rock her to sleep. This is her new favorite past time. The only problem is she does not go to sleep often. So then Burke started stirring so I loaded both monkeys on my lap. Adalyn put her arm around Burke and snuggled up next to him. At that moment I realized life could not be any better. It is a shame they have to grow up. For that moment I wish time would have stood still.

A special thanks to Memaw and Grandma for coming to Disney with our crew. We couldn't of done it without you. It is amazing what a mom has to do to pack for a vacation. I need a vacation for getting ready for this vacation. I am trying to wash clothes and pack for three people. Jeff actually packed his own bag. I think he was scared of what I would forget. Not to say I've forgotten some things in the past.
I was encouraged to get my kids sleeping this week. Why? Who the hell knows b/c tonight the schedules are going to hell. So all this week I was strict as a drill sargent getting Adalyn and Burke in their own beds. Burke even slept through the night without a peep. I guess at least I know it can be done. Too bad I'll be too tired to do it when we get home. It was nice while it lasted!

It is hard to believe my baby is already rolling over and blowing raspberries. And here is a pic of his first swing ride. Adalyn loved pushing him up, down, and all around. He was very quiet and wide eyed. I guess it could have been fear. He does love it now! Its kinda sad he is doing all these things and not a newborn anymore. You can't wait for your first to accomplish milestones but you don't want your second to be there yet. Wish they didn't grow so fast. Well most days anyways.

So there are these really cute books out called Fancy Nancy. Adalyn LOVES them. We read one every night. Little did I know it was creating a monster. Yesterday in Target I was trying to buy her some play clothes and PJs. There were some really cute stripped shorts. She threw a fit and tossed them out of the cart. She said they were not posh. Well lets try the PJs then. I saw some cute carters PJs. She refused them saying the were not posh enough. My mom even offered to sew some beads on them. She would not have it. I think I've created a monster!

Burke is growing and I promise to put more pics of him up. He is laughing and cooing all the time. Well as long as we are around. He does not like to be by himself. I don't know if we'll ever get him into his room. Jeff assured me we will with no problems. Yesterday he had a blast helping Daddy put the lawn furniture together. He was a great supervisor while Adalyn directed and took over when Daddy wasn't doing it right. We both say she is smarter than the both of us but we'll never let her know it!

Yesterday when we were working in the yard, a gay couple drove by in their bright red Mercedes convertible. Well Adalyn immediately stopped what she was doing and said "Daddy I need that right now!" I chimed in how cute we would look. She continued to beg her Daddy to no avail. He wasn't buying it. Nice try Adalyn. I still think we would be rather cute sporting around town. Maybe Mrs. Neely will take us for a spin!

Purple hair

Well yesterday Adalyn and I were in Sam's picking up a few groceries and two very interesting people walked up. One had bright blue hair and the other had bright purple. And when I say bright I mean bright. Well they were standing next to us and Adalyn had taken great interest in them. I continued with my shopping hoping she wouldn't say anything to mortify me. Well all of a sudden I hear. "Oh my Gosh Mommy. Those people have purple and blue hair. I've never seen purple and blue hair before. Oh My Gosh." A million responses went through my mind while they continued to stare at me as my face got crimson. My response. "Yes, isn't purple your favorite color?" Good save. They seemed satisfied with the attention they sought with their hair color and Adalyn and I went on to discuss our favorite colors. So if you run into these people there's a good save for you!

Sleep

Burke is sleeping through the night, well close anyways. Life could not get much better. I almost hate to post it in fear of jinxing this wonderful thing. The last three nights he has sleep till at least five. Yesterday he slept till six. That's going from ten at night. 7 whole hours without having a kid on me!!! I almost feel human. There is a special secret that makes this work. Jeff has to give him a bottle. Hey whatever works. I'll pump the next year at ten if he'll sleep. And one other minor thing. He is sleeping in his carseat. I know, I would have never allowed Adalyn to do this but desperate parents do desperate things. His reflux is so bad that he sleeps better sitting up. The ped said it was ok, so until it gets better he can stay there.

Potty Trained

I think it safe to say Adalyn is finally potty trained! Hurray! When she was sick she had a few accidents but the last two nights she started pooping in the potty again. When she makes her mind up to do something, consider it done.
