Christmas may finally be over

Christmas is over. Did I really say that? Usually I am so pumped up and full of the spirit but this year it didn't really come and when it did it was short lived. Adalyn had a blast but is still awaiting her biggest gift. The elves are suppose to bring in soon. Yeah! Today my wonderful husband helped me take down all the Christmas decor that was strung haphazardly throughout the house. Thank you Jeff. It saved me a middle of the night obsession in the next couple of days when I can't sleep. One last major task of Christmas. Mailing out the Christmas cards. No I still haven't accomplished this yet. After trying to print my cards with my near 70 IQ (J/K) and then to have my husband look and them and laugh. Run on sentence dear. Next time have me proof them. I wonder has he ever had to print cards with a monkey climbing all over him. Trashed that idea. So anyways after much fretting a card was picked and picture. So they are here and some actually went out today. They may make New Years. Well at least for some.

Airplanes

Well Saturday night Jeff and I were going stir crazy and decided to take Adalyn on a ride to look at Christmas lights. We drove all over town and eventually ended up close to his clinic. This is an important detail that we weren't smart enough to figure out; especially since we went a back way and I didn't even know where we were. About halfway through this ride Adalyn started screaming that she wanted to fly a blue airplane. Yeah, Yeah we kept telling her. Maybe tomorrow. She continued in her persistent manner, which can drive someone crazy. Especially me! Anyways we decided to head home b/c she would not stop talking about the blue airplane.
Well the next morning when she climbed in bed with us she immediately started talking about a blue airplane. The clincher she said the one at daddy's office. Oh, we finally got it. She wanted to go play a video game that he has with a blue airplane at his office. Don't know where she got her internal compass. She somehow knew we were close to his office and she wanted to go play the game. Too bad we weren't smart enough to catch on!

Pidge and the Pet Store

Last night my parents were dropping off Adalyn and she wanted MeMaw to spend the night. I told Adalyn that MeMaw couldn't spend the night b/c who would take care of Pidge. Adalyn's quick response was she could go to the pet store. Poor Pidge she keeps threatening to take her to the Pet Store.
We aren't sure where she got this idea.

Nutcraker

Here is our first present under the Christmas Tree. Atleast that is what we laughed that Adalyn looked like in her Nutcracker garb. Sunday we hauled the girls to Jackson to see the Nutcracker. She actually sat through the whole two hour performance without being taken outside once. Not to say that she wasn't a wiggle worm but atleast we made it. Thanks Memaw and Grandma for all your help and coming with us. Adalyn really enjoyed sharing this memory with yall!

Her Best Friend

Sunday morning I went in my room to find these two snuggled together in my bed asleep. Maybe Harvey does love her after all. He deserves a medal for his patience.

Threatening her life

Ok Kandice here is your darn picture. Yes I'm enormous. I'm threatening to take her life away but it didn't work. I think she must have about a million. Can you see her fiestyness? I don't know where she got that!

Christmas Pics

This was our first attempt of trying to take Xmas Card Pics. They didn't go so well. First I had to wake Adalyn up from a nap. First Mistake. Then put on a party dress and drag my husband and her down to the clubhouse. Second mistake. Couldn't find shoes so borrowed some from a great friend. They didn't fit. Third mistake. So needless to say I don't know what we'll do next. Her heart just wasn't in this photo session. So being the stubborn person I am we will try again.

Christmas Tree SEarch

Here is Daddy and Adalyn looking for Xmas Tree. The weather was nice and cold so Adalyn got to wear her one of her favorite coats. We have the spirit so much this year that we have two large trees up. After all that decorating I'm over decorating the house. One tree is still not done and needs ornaments but it may stay like this till Christmas. Oh well, Adalyn likes the lights anyways. As of today, no broken ornaments.
