Christmas may finally be over

Christmas is over. Did I really say that? Usually I am so pumped up and full of the spirit but this year it didn't really come and when it did it was short lived. Adalyn had a blast but is still awaiting her biggest gift. The elves are suppose to bring in soon. Yeah! Today my wonderful husband helped me take down all the Christmas decor that was strung haphazardly throughout the house. Thank you Jeff. It saved me a middle of the night obsession in the next couple of days when I can't sleep. One last major task of Christmas. Mailing out the Christmas cards. No I still haven't accomplished this yet. After trying to print my cards with my near 70 IQ (J/K) and then to have my husband look and them and laugh. Run on sentence dear. Next time have me proof them. I wonder has he ever had to print cards with a monkey climbing all over him. Trashed that idea. So anyways after much fretting a card was picked and picture. So they are here and some actually went out today. They may make New Years. Well at least for some.

Airplanes

Well Saturday night Jeff and I were going stir crazy and decided to take Adalyn on a ride to look at Christmas lights. We drove all over town and eventually ended up close to his clinic. This is an important detail that we weren't smart enough to figure out; especially since we went a back way and I didn't even know where we were. About halfway through this ride Adalyn started screaming that she wanted to fly a blue airplane. Yeah, Yeah we kept telling her. Maybe tomorrow. She continued in her persistent manner, which can drive someone crazy. Especially me! Anyways we decided to head home b/c she would not stop talking about the blue airplane.
Well the next morning when she climbed in bed with us she immediately started talking about a blue airplane. The clincher she said the one at daddy's office. Oh, we finally got it. She wanted to go play a video game that he has with a blue airplane at his office. Don't know where she got her internal compass. She somehow knew we were close to his office and she wanted to go play the game. Too bad we weren't smart enough to catch on!

Pidge and the Pet Store

Last night my parents were dropping off Adalyn and she wanted MeMaw to spend the night. I told Adalyn that MeMaw couldn't spend the night b/c who would take care of Pidge. Adalyn's quick response was she could go to the pet store. Poor Pidge she keeps threatening to take her to the Pet Store.
We aren't sure where she got this idea.

Nutcraker

Here is our first present under the Christmas Tree. Atleast that is what we laughed that Adalyn looked like in her Nutcracker garb. Sunday we hauled the girls to Jackson to see the Nutcracker. She actually sat through the whole two hour performance without being taken outside once. Not to say that she wasn't a wiggle worm but atleast we made it. Thanks Memaw and Grandma for all your help and coming with us. Adalyn really enjoyed sharing this memory with yall!

Her Best Friend

Sunday morning I went in my room to find these two snuggled together in my bed asleep. Maybe Harvey does love her after all. He deserves a medal for his patience.

Threatening her life

Ok Kandice here is your darn picture. Yes I'm enormous. I'm threatening to take her life away but it didn't work. I think she must have about a million. Can you see her fiestyness? I don't know where she got that!

Christmas Pics

This was our first attempt of trying to take Xmas Card Pics. They didn't go so well. First I had to wake Adalyn up from a nap. First Mistake. Then put on a party dress and drag my husband and her down to the clubhouse. Second mistake. Couldn't find shoes so borrowed some from a great friend. They didn't fit. Third mistake. So needless to say I don't know what we'll do next. Her heart just wasn't in this photo session. So being the stubborn person I am we will try again.

Christmas Tree SEarch

Here is Daddy and Adalyn looking for Xmas Tree. The weather was nice and cold so Adalyn got to wear her one of her favorite coats. We have the spirit so much this year that we have two large trees up. After all that decorating I'm over decorating the house. One tree is still not done and needs ornaments but it may stay like this till Christmas. Oh well, Adalyn likes the lights anyways. As of today, no broken ornaments.

Bribery

Ok I've read just about every parent book out there but the last two nights I've thrown their wisdom to the wind. Since Adalyn had stridor she has been getting in bed with us every night about two in the morning. I had it. I need sleep and her brother who is a full size monkey in my belly needed sleep so.... Bribery stepped in. Night before last I offered to take her to the zoo if she slept all night in her bed. She said, "Can I ride the train Mommy." Of course just sleep ALL night. AMAZINGLY she sleep till 7:00 without a peep. So last night I tried again. I told her she could go eat breakfast at MeMaws if she sleep all night. This morning she sleep till 8:30 and luckily my mom agreed to cook her breakfast. So any suggestions on what the bargain should be tonight? It takes three times to make a habit. That's what I'm hoping for anyways. I know, sometimes desperation lets good parenting fly out the window!

Under the Weather

Well last week we conquered Stridor and this week it a sinus infection. What's next? No really, Adalyn had Stridor last week but luckily her daddy caught it in time and she a quick recovery. Luckily I didn't know how serious it can be for children. Not sure what caused hers but we are ready for the next time. So today we are at home playing. Adalyn is feeling much better though.

Trick or Treat

Adalyn went trick or treating with her friends Avery and Alex. They had a blast. We rode on the golf cart to some of her other friends house for a hay ride. She and Daddy had a blast.

Elmo

Adalyn got to go see Elmo in New Orleans. SHe had a great time but I think she feels she may be a little old for Elmo. If it would have been Mickey Mouse she would have enjoyed it more.

Adalyn with her cute friend Meredith. Meredith had a blast and was really dancing up a storm at the Pumpkin Patch.

Doesn't it look like she is having fun? She conned MeMaw and MeMe to take a hayride.

Pumpkin Patch

Over the Halloween Holiday we went to the Pumpkin Patch with some of Adalyn's friends. She had a great time and keeps asking to go back. Everytime she sees a group of pumpkins she calls it a pumpkin patch.

Kisses

Adalyn was playing dress up. Here she is giving Paw a big kiss. I am sure she was trying to get something.

Watermelojxion

That's not a misstype. That's how Adalyn says watermellon. Here is Paw and her picking a watermellon that he grew for her. She said it was HERs. We are working on sharing.

Splashing in the Rain

Check me out splashing in the rain. I can't talk grandma and pawpaw into anything!

Am I glamourous or what? Adalyn was all dressed up for our first day of cold weather. She thought she was beautiful in her fur coat. Poor baby is going today to get flu shot at Jeff's office. We are debating where to give it to her b/c if it's in his office she'll never want to go see him again. Wish us luck!

PawPaw and Harvey took over Adalyn's Birthday present. No, not really. Harvey had to test drive the car first to make sure it was safe for Adalyn.

Daddy and me at the zoo. Adalyn had a blast and even made PePaw walk all over to look at the animals.

Avery and Adalyn had intentions of finger painting that day. They decided that it was much more fun to body paint. They covered themselves from head to toe. We had to strip them and hose them down outside. I think even Harvey got some paint on him!

Look Paige and Kandice. I am an artist too. I think I'm the best!!!

Pilot

Have you ever seen a ballerina pilot. That's what Adalyn is aspires to be. All glamour with lots of adventure.

Gymnastics

Here is a pic of Adalyn doing a back somersault. She wants to go everyday but I can't afford it. Last class she even did a back flip or whatever it's called on the bars. With help of course. Here is a pic of her doing a back somersault.

20 Week Ultrasound

Everything is fine. All test came back normal and Dr. told me that he wouldn't allow me to even think about having baby. He was ready to schedule cection that day. I guess he thinks I'm a little crazy. Can't imagine why! We showed Adalyn the video and she said "I don't want it". I asked her again yesterday and she said I could give it to Gina. I'll ask Gina if she wants it, especially at three in the morning.

Feliz Cumpleanos

Sorry so late posting. Adalyn's Birthday was a huge success. I had typical stay at home mom's birthday party. You know... about 30 tissue papers throughout the house, a dozen in the yard, enough food to feed all of canebrake neatly displayed on color coordinated fabric, life size
Dora map and so much more. Nothing like having a crazy stay at home mom party for your kids. But I couldn't have done it without my support team. Many Thanks. Maybe by next year they'll forget how crazy it was and sign up again to help... Hmmm.... I'm think life size ice castles...Just a thought. But look at Adalyn's face and tell me it wasn't worth it.

YeeeHaaa

Don't know if it's spelled right but Adalyn's new obsession. Top Gun. She would watch the first five minutes over and over and over. Even Jeff is sick of the movie. She loves Goose and impersonating him. Wonder if flying is in her blood? Can't imagine where she gets it from.

Ballet

Adalyn had her first ballet class today. She was very excited about putting on her pretty ballet outfit. She even put on her tights without a huge fight. She wanted to go show Daddy at work how pretty she looked.

Beach

Adalyn went to Destin over the weekend with family. She had a great time splashing in the water. She even went underwater and wanted to go way out into Ocean but we didn't let her b/c there were tons of purple jellyfish. She was so good this trip we are now ready to take her on more family vacations. Especially when we have MeMaws help. It made it much easier. Like a vacation for us. Now we need to send MeMaw on vacation.

Cooling Off

Adalyn and Daddy cooled off by playing in the sprinklers. They had lots of fun. Adalyn didn't want to come inside.

It's a Boy

Well we think anyways. Adalyn still insist she is having a baby sister. We will know for sure in four weeks. I think Jeff is finally convinced.

Blogging

Since I know how busy we all are and how terrible we seem to be at emailing I thought this might be a good way to keep in touch. Especially with Paige overseas. In between her adventures of traveling Europe she can drop us a quick line and make us all jealous. Lots of my friends are doing these now and I sure don't want to be left out as uncool. So here it is. Now start posting.
